It’s a new year, a new you and it it’s time to think about updating that old sofa in your living room! Don’t worry, because I have spent hours researching and looking for the best sofas under $1,000. After all you don’t need to spend a lot to have a stylish sofa! I still use my $499 Erktop sofa and love it!

Now, since the sofa is the central piece of furniture in your living room, it really should be a great piece that can stand the test of time. I really like timeless designs (think tufted, english arm roll, etc.) with clean lines.

As far as color I prefer to stick with the neutrals (white, grays and beige). This gives you a blank canvas to decorate with pillows and you can change the décor around when you get tired/bored with it without having to change the main and most expensive item.

Here are some of my favorites:

Erktop Sofa from Ikea- I have had this one for 6 years and still going strong. At $300 you cannot beat the price. The covers are removable and I wash it once a month. Worst case scenario, you can always buy a new cover for $100.
English Arm Roll sofas- this will be my next sofa. I’m currently looking for a replacement for my Ikea one (its time!) and I want a English arm roll one. I just love the classic look of this sofa. This one from Pottery Barn is under $800! I also love this one. Pottery Barn has some really great options under $1000 and their quality its amazing.

Hi Ceres, I love your decor! I’m very inspired by your blog. I’ve purchased a few things for my house already. Just wanted to know where did you purchase your white tray with black spots on your coffee table? I can’t seem to find a link on your blog. Thanks! Xoxo
