Hello loves! I’m so excited to share Sophia’s Unicorn birthday party with you all!  I can’t believe she is already one year old. Like every mother before me, I’m shocked by how fast the first year went. I think the biggest transformation is to see your baby going from a newborn to a little person walking around and starting to talk! Time flies by in a blink of an eye, what everyone will tell you is the absolutely true. When it came to the theme of the party I was really undecided for a while, at first I thought I wanted a princess theme, then star theme and the list goes on and on, lol! Then finally I saw this unicorn cake on Instagram and I was sold! I love unicorns and how whimsical they are and thought it would be perfect for her first little party. You can see my inspiration board here. For the main sweets table, I did a pastel balloon arch with flowers and a curtain backdrop. For the balloon arch, I used this tape as the base, and added the bigger balloons to it. I then used a low temperature glue gun to glue the…

Happy Tuesday friends! I wanted to share this little project that I tackled this past weekend: a new gallery wall! I have been wanting to create a new gallery wall since Sophia took over my home office. This was a very simple and easy project to do. I purchased all the posters from Desenio.com. They have such a great collection of posters and prints at amazing prices! I also got the pineapple print that I posted on my Instagram from Desenio. Right now, they are offering a 25% discount code for my readers. Just use the code “ceres25” (valid from 28 Feb-2 Mar) at check out! Pineapple Poster|Knife Set|Letterboard|Pineapples: here & here|Glass Jar| The main focus of the gallery wall is the Kate Moss poster that I’m obsessed with. I added four smaller frames around the Kate Moss with some of my favorite quotes and a picture of Sarah Jessica Parker from an old Bazaar magazine.  All the frames are from Ikea. I get a lot of questions about the gold dipped frames that I used here. These are basic frames from Ikea that I spray painted the corners gold. Super simple to do it and they look amazing. To attach…

Good morning loves! You may have seem on my Instagram my latest Ikea Hack, the Kallax storage unit. You know I love a good hack and creating this beautiful storage unit was super easy and it looks amazing! Since Sophia started playing more and having so many toys, I was in desperate need of storage. I had some baskets where I would put her toys away every night, however, it was still in sight. I bought the Kallax Unit a while ago and used just the top part as my entry way table. The rest of the unit was in the garage and my husband wanted to throw away. Since was still in really good shape I decided to give it a try and put the whole unit together. However, I didn’t have the doors, so I took a trip to ikea and bought 8 doors for the unit. I really like the look of the unit with the doors and I really love that I was able to hide all the toys away!! Before: After: Lastly, I really wanted to add a little more glam to the unit and make it look less Ikea-ish. I added these gold ring knobs…

Hi Dolls! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have seen my Ikea hack of the Malm dresser. I always get so many questions on it, so I wanted to do a post about it to share all the details. For this Ikea hack, I used two malm dressers of four drawers. They are two separate dressers that I placed together, not glued or attached, but I guess if you want to, you could probably attach them. On top, I added the glass top so it look seamless, this makes a huge difference, otherwise it would probably look a little weird lol! Now the fun part, the knobs!! I loveee brass or lucite knobs, so for the bedroom dresser I used brass ring pulls, and for Sophia’s room I used a lucite and brass pulls for a more vintage look.  Here are some of my favorite knobs:   1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 To attach the knobs, use a cabinet mounting template (like this) and measure top to bottom and side to side to make sure that the holes are aligned. Use a regular drill bit to make your holes and attach the knobs with the hardware provided. Done! I absolutely love how they look…
