Spring Bedroom Updates, floral pillows
Welcome lovely friends coming from Tanya’s A Darling Day Dream blog. Hope you are enjoying the tour so far. Spring is around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited. Living on the east coast, our winter is no joke! I’m so ready to see the trees turn green again and this gloomy weather to go away. This means is also time to refresh your decor and bring those happy bright tones in.

As always, I don’t believe you need to spend a lot to update your space. A couple of new pillows, a fluffy throw, some candles and flowers it’s all you need to bring your bedroom back to life. I went with this blush Pom Pom throw and this sheepskin pillow from Anne Selke, and these beautiful floral water color pillows to complete my bedroom update. Only a few touches and my bedroom is ready for spring and it already feels so much brighter in here!

Here are some other things that you can do to get your bedroom spring ready:

1. Declutter: this is something I try to do often, cleaning my closet, donating items I no longer use or toys Sophia doesn’t play with anymore. This is specially important when you live in a small space like me. I even reduced the number of pillows in my bed since we had so many and they would all end up in our floor since we have no space to store them.

2. I hate ironing as much as the next person, but I do take the time to iron my duvet cover and pillows cases (even if I do such a poor job like seen bellow 😂). It just makes such a difference and gives the bed a more polished look.

3. Use cute boxes and baskets for storage. I use a jewelry box to store my night creams by my bedside and baskets to house extra pillows. They are a good way of storing cluttering items without sacrificing in style.

Good morning dolls! March is already here and I have been super busy planning Sophia’s birthday party. However, I wanted to share some of my late findings and some of the items I got from the Shopbop sale (today is the last day to shop, up to 25% off!).

I picked up this pretty pink lace dress for Sophia’s birthday, isn’t it lovely? I also got this shampoo from the new Kristin Ess collection at Target which I absolutely love (I may or may not have gotten the mascara and volumizer mousse too!). It’s such a great line!  All the products are great and are at a very good price. While I was at Target I also checked out the new Baubeblar collection and is super cute,  love this tassel earrings. I found this new pink letter board and is so adorable I might have to buy it too (hubby might not like that! Lol). From the Shopbop sale, I always look for Fashion books, accessories and jeans. I finally got this pair of Levis (they are low on sizes :() and this super cute LBD. They also have the best selection of pool party floats!!!

Pineapple accessories for the home
It’s no surprise that I have been obsessed with pineapples for a while and my addiction is not going away anytime soon! I keep adding pineapples to my decor, either in the form of candles, prints or glasses. I just can’t get enough 😂🙈. Today I wanted to share some of my favorites pineapples accessories for the home. If you are obsessed with this fruit like me, you will love it! It’s also the perfect time to add some tropical vibes to your home as spring time is just around the corner.
Also, I always get a lot of question on the pineapple lamp that I have. It’s an old one from Zara Home that is discontinued. I found two similar ones and listed below.
Hope you enjoy the selection!

Gallery Wall, Kate moss poster

Happy Tuesday friends! I wanted to share this little project that I tackled this past weekend: a new gallery wall! I have been wanting to create a new gallery wall since Sophia took over my home office. This was a very simple and easy project to do. I purchased all the posters from Desenio.com. They have such a great collection of posters and prints at amazing prices! I also got the pineapple print that I posted on my Instagram from Desenio. Right now, they are offering a 25% discount code for my readers. Just use the code “ceres25” (valid from 28 Feb-2 Mar) at check out!

The main focus of the gallery wall is the Kate Moss poster that I’m obsessed with. I added four smaller frames around the Kate Moss with some of my favorite quotes and a picture of Sarah Jessica Parker from an old Bazaar magazine.Gallery Wall, Kate moss posterGallery Wall, Kate moss posterGallery Wall, Kate moss poster Gallery Wall, Kate moss poster Gallery Wall, Kate moss poster

All the frames are from Ikea. I get a lot of questions about the gold dipped frames that I used here. These are basic frames from Ikea that I spray painted the corners gold. Super simple to do it and they look amazing. To attach the smaller frames I used command strips (I love command strips for small projects like this since they don’t damage the walls!) and for the larger one I regular nail since I was afraid that it would be to heavy for the strips.

IKEA Kallax HackGood morning loves! You may have seem on my Instagram my latest Ikea Hack, the Kallax storage unit. You know I love a good hack and creating this beautiful storage unit was super easy and it looks amazing!

IKEA Kallax HackSince Sophia started playing more and having so many toys, I was in desperate need of storage. I had some baskets where I would put her toys away every night, however, it was still in sight. I bought the Kallax Unit a while ago and used just the top part as my entry way table. The rest of the unit was in the garage and my husband wanted to throw away. Since was still in really good shape I decided to give it a try and put the whole unit together.
IKEA Kallax HackHowever, I didn’t have the doors, so I took a trip to ikea and bought 8 doors for the unit. I really like the look of the unit with the doors and I really love that I was able to hide all the toys away!!

After:Ikea Hack Kallax Unit

Ikea Hack Kallax UnitLastly, I really wanted to add a little more glam to the unit and make it look less Ikea-ish. I added these gold ring knobs that I had from a previous project, they fit perfectly and added that gold touch that I love. I have always wanted to use overlays that I have seen it everywhere on Pinterest. I choose these Greek keys design and just used glue dots to add to the doors (if you are doing the overlays, make sure that you add it before installing the doors, I had to remove the doors to add the overlays). It was super easy and it definitely gives the unit a more expensive look! What do you think?

My friends at O’verlays.com are currently offering a 15% off for ThePinkDream.com readers. Use code: THEPINKDREAM15 at checkout.

Total cost:

Kallax Unit: 69.99
Insert Doors: $120  (8 Doors)
Overlays: $64  (4 needed)
Ring Knobs : $28.48 (8 needed)
Hope you have a lovely rest of the week!
