living room with West elm terrace coffe table in brass

Hi y’all! Hope you had a great weekend! I finally found some time to write a new blog post. Let me tell you, it has not been easy finding time to update the blog with work and the baby! How do other busy moms do it all?!

Anyways, I wanted to talk a little bit about my new coffee table. I have had it for a little while now and love it so much! If you remember I used to have the Ikea Vitro Table that I spray painted gold.

Though I really like that table, I experienced some issues with it.I had to constantly retouch the paint because the gold kept coming off, it was quite wobbly and I wasn’t a fan of the dark bottom shelf (I did keep the small table as my side table, since we don’t use it as much!).

It was definitely time to invest in a decent table, and after tons of research I decided to go with the West Elm Coffee Terrace table.

What I love about this table:
  • The size! So much bigger than my ikea one.
  • It’s super sturdy (you get what you pay for).
  • It has 3 shelves, two glass shelves and a mirrored one at the bottom, perfect for displaying all my books!
  • The color is a beautiful brass tone and I don’t need to repaint it.west elm terrace coffee table in brassWest Elm Terrace coffee table in brass

Now, this is a table that when we finally get a house I can reuse. Definitely a beautiful piece that I will keep for years to come. So it was worth the investment! What do you guys think?

It’s almost summer time!!! This year, along with new bathing suits (or one pieces, since this post baby body is not ready for a bikini!) I must have floats! They are everywhere and I’m obsessed! And no, I don’t have a pool, but I think they are a great gift for the hostess of that pool party you going to attend or crash this summer. Here are some of my favorites:

Of course I already got the baby flamingo for Sophia and the big flamingo for me! Which one is your favorite?

Hi Dolls!
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have seen my Ikea dresser that I hacked. I always get so many questions on it, so I wanted to do a post about it to share all the details. I used two malm dressers of four drawers. They are two separate dressers that I placed together, not glued or attached, but I guess if you want to, you could probably attach them. On top, I added the glass top so it look seamless, this makes a huge difference, otherwise it would probably look a little weird lol!

Now the fun part, the knobs!! I loveee brass or lucite knobs, so for the bedroom dresser I used brass ring pulls, and for Sophia’s room I used a lucite and brass pulls for a more vintage look.  Here are some of my favorite knobs:

To attach the knobs, use a cabinet mounting template (like this) and measure top to bottom and side to side to make sure that the holes are aligned. Use a regular drill bit to make your holes and attach the knobs with the hardware provided. Done!

I absolutely love how they look now, it gives the dresser a more glam look.

Hi Loves!

I’m so excited to share my favorite little room in our house right now, my baby Sophia’s nursery. You can imagine how excited I was when I found out that I was having a baby girl! I finally had an excuse to have a whole pink room and my husband could not complain about it, lol! Now, we do live in a 1100 sq feet apartment and the nursery is also our office and hubby’s closet. So, putting all together was definitely a little challenging. I didn’t have enough space to add some of the things that I wanted like a glider or a wardrobe for Sophia.

The inspiration for her room came from this crown from Restoration Hardware, I just love it! However, it was definitely not in my budget. I found a better priced one at Pottery Barn and ended up spray painting it gold (sold out, similar here). I wanted her nursery to be like a romantic/princess room with lots of soft pink and touches of gold. Finding the right pink was way harder than what I imagined, I think we went through 10 different shades of pink, we finally decided to go with Pinafore pink by Ralph Lauren, its just the perfect soft pink!

When you live in a small apartment, storage is always an issue. We needed tons of it, so for the changing table I decided to go with the Malm dressers from Ikea that gives me plenty of storage. Its a little bit higher than most changing tables but it works for us. For the decor, since the room is so small, I kept it as simple as possible (though I did went a little crazy with all the stuffed animals :)).
